i got double ice type!! so cool, i never would've expected that!! i'm really into how in-depth this all is. must've taken a lot of effort to make. thank you professor bonsly!!
I think you might need to tweak the way types are determined, it seems it's weighted really heavily towards Fairy type. Myself and about 7 of my friends tried the quiz, we all got Fairy as one of our types.
I feel like questions like 38 and 50 depend too much on the kind of project and motivation behind it for me to respond, i can see myself doing basicaly all of the options and can't choose wich one is the one I would do the most becouse the example is so vague i don't feel like i can answere but maybe I just can't think of that times i have been in the situation to understand it
I'm unsure of what would be considered a party, if it's my birthday we are hanging out at my house, playing some board games and eating cake, and i would call that a party so i would say eather "they are coming becouse it's a special ocasion" or, "my parties allways rule" becouse if i did do something outside of a special occasion I don't feel the need to entice them to come, probably becouse it's something a lot more casual. So I'm assuming you mean like loud music and dancing with drinks so i'll say I don't like parties and after writing this comment I realize i might just be lame lol.
question 18 I defend my belief even if they make a solid point that makes me think they are right, because people disagreeing with me make me feel personally attacked (even though I know that's stupid and not true).
This is really really great, it's clear a lot of effort and love went into this. Very impressive, and my results (fairy/grass) were really p accurate. I do have to say though, I feel i should have gotten higher on ghost as a secondary. I think i remember a lot of the answers that, now afterwards when i think about it, i think probably would have pushed me towards ghost, were answers to questions that were phrased in like "you are in X social situation, what do you do" and were, like "i would _NEVER_ find myself in a social situation". I think a few questions that focus more on how easily you find it to connect with others, without that information sort of piggy backing on a separate unrelated question, would help a lot. (As well as maybe some questions like straight up "do you feel attached/connected to your physical body/the physical world"). Also to put this in perspective my monotype 3 was ghost so it's not like the test didn't pick up on any of that.
Q42 about an unwilling favour doesn't have a "Guilty - I would have wanted them to tell me so we could figure something else out, and now I'm ashamed" option. Guilty or sad that they did it despite not wanting to, or betrayed that they didn't trust me enough to tell me. I think it's a substantial gap.
Heavily disagree with the first type picks, except for grass secondary. The second pic I think is a little more fitting. The speed and defense stats kind of disappoint me. Though my abilities I'd say are a good pick. I would definitely be one of the worst Pokemon out there, to my own disappointment.
Love the quiz! Just wanted to let you know re: one of the answers for Q44 that the use of the phrase "go nonverbal" (and its derivatives) is now discouraged by nonverbal/nonspeaking people because being nonverbal is a long-term state rather than a temporary one and the phrase leads to misinfo, therefore diminishing the already-unheard voices/needs of those people (e.g. the need for AAC). Suggested replacement terms include "temporarily losing speech", "verbal shutdown", "losing your words", "become unable to speak".
I feel like some questions especially the ones regarding physical health and social interactivity should be clearer.
I'm generally a more reserved person that only really does anything (and really, anything) for the people I care about but for some reason I got Normal...? Even though I picked plenty of answers that made it clear I am only doing things because it's a friend and not because I care about doing these things for myself or being near random people (like for example staying away from music festivals).
And regarding physical health, I'm a person that is detrimentally bad with their own physical health (but immensely good with mental), and even when I picked answers that commonly related to such I still got things like a high defense stat and very low special attack which confuse me especially considering I often picked answers that were related to intelect like for example Q35 (I would've completely flipped def and sp. attack).
In general my needs are very specific and not related to basic necessities most of the time, yet this + body-focused things are constantly described which may be due to the wording on some of these questions, or perhaps there not being enough questions that make you choose between mental health and physical health, or mental prowess and physical prowess
Also I feel like Normal and Fairy should have a bigger differentiation in results, questions in regarding to health should not be only related to physical or mental (for example, questions like "what are you going to the gym for" can create these results that don't fit because all of them relate to specific necessities of a person rather than a grander scheme, and "not going at all" feels like a cheap answer). There should be more clearer answers and questions regarding mental acuity and sensibility, I feel like these often also get mixed up with the physical health ones and that may be a reason why I got Normal so frequently + high defense despite both of them being inacurrate.
The abilities need a little bit of work. I can see Guts, but I got...Fluffy and Thick Fat? For reference I'm very skinny irl (due to a combination of my eating habits and metabolism) so I got very confused about this to say the least. I understand that this may be a result of the high defense + normal type results so the focus should be more on that.
Overall I would make a bigger emphasis not only to differentiate physical and mental health + mental acuity, but also to differentiate questions regarding doing things for others, being more specific regarding if we're doing this due to our personal connection + closeness, or just in general, and making these differences matter more. Sometimes being social around friends does not mean being social in general, that is an important difference. The test is well thought out, but I feel like it needs to specify and differentiate certain aspects more. I think it'd also benefit from 10 more questions to help with this, besides adding more answers or adjusting the effects of certain answers for the preexisting questions .
For reference, my results were these (Monotype was Normal, Fairy, Grass. Dual Type was 1-Normal, Flying, Fairy, 2-Flying, Normal, Psychic) If I were to put results on me based on what the descriptions are, I would've put Monotype Fairy, Grass, Ice. While Dual Type would've been 1-Fairy, Grass, Bug. 2-Normal, Psychic, Water.
Hi, I have some feedback for question 16: I can't really do any of these because I'm disabled and unable to work or go to school. While I do have projects I work on, I usually don't plan to do them; thus, I don't really have "work or school days". I was able to give a response that I think was as close as possible, but it would mean a ton to me if there were one or more responses that more accurately reflect my situation. Thank you in advance for considering my request, and this is real neat quiz! Fifty questions is a lot though haha, but I understand it's probably because of the inherent complexity.
Edit: Seems like there were some other questions I have feedback on... for number 18 I would definitely react with a stress response, either by lashing out verbally or crying haha. For question 28 I would never go on a date with someone I barely know, specifically. For question 34 I would cry. (You are probably noticing a pattern lol.) For question 35, see above, I am unable to work. For question 36 I would probably start dissociating or just go nonverbal (could be generalized to any kind of freeze response). For question 42 I would be worried about whether they're not telling me other things.
Questions 24 - No option for "I would not know this happened."
Question 34 - I don't have functioning coping strategies. I just have to wait till I forget.
Question 38 - Saw someone else suggest a Focused option. I would feel anything until it becomes impossible to ignore.
Dating Questions - I have never dated. The person I am in a relationship is my Best Friend.
Art Practice Question - I only use an art medium to create a specific fixation either: to my satisfaction, or until I burn out working on it. I practice things.
Okay, after thinking about it, I realized that if you did a comprehensive breakdown of every single Pokemon... would you be able to show the closest matching Pokemon, to a given Trait, Typing, and Stat set?
A couple of these questions could've been phrased a little clearer... Like does question 27 literally mean "what would you do during mild, sunny weather?" or does it really mean "how does 'nice' weather effect your behavior when you're free?" Cause, personally I prefer cool, overcast, and a bit of rain. It doesn't seem to consider one might not want to go out because it's sunny. There are a couple questions like that.
I still like the quiz, though! Just can't help but nitpick it. Especially because most of the questions are pretty good about this kinda thing.
Suprisingly in-depth! ^^ Had alot of fun, and id say i pretty much agree with alot of the results. Honestly made me really think about alot of aspects about myself. Im looking forward to trying this again in the future and see how i evolve (pun unintended)
for 38, could an option for focused, possibly reading "Focused. I'm not noticing much, and if I do notice hunger or drowsiness, it's because I've been so intensely working."?
also, for 41, could there be an option for not living with anyone?
also-also (can you tell I'm editing this as I get to each question?), for 45, can there be an option like "I practice at least one artform, but it isn't niche."?
Did the quiz for a friend and got primary and secondary as the same type.
Wouldn't the monotype just be that at this point? But, it's not; its primary/secondary is only listed as the third potential monotype with a score of 28.61%.
So I guess a [type]-monotype Pokemon differs from one with a [type]-primary and [type]-secondary...
accurate! I guessed I'd be fairy grass, but didn't think I was related to bug as 2nd mono, and ghost as 3rd secondary, but it fits. I like how everyone has different abilities regardless of same typings.
For the "date someone you don't know with 0 friends in common" question, it'd be nice to have a "I wouldn't date someone like this" option! I go on dates, but not with people I don't know (no blind/speed dating for me!) or have no friends in common with. For the concert option, I wish there was a choice for "both the people and noise would bother me, so I wouldn't be there" answer.
Decent quiz, just wish it had answers that fit so it could be more accurate.
#35 (greatest asset in finding a new job) - i would only move to places where i at least know someone (or someone who knows someone) and rely on the extensive network i've built to get a foot in the door
#40 (volunteer work going slow) - dissociate and entertain myself in my own head/start thinking about everything else i have to do (ie. outlining an essay in my head, meal prepping, etc.)
#45 (art form / viable career) - make a backup plan to secure an income stream while enjoying the art as a hobby in my free time

My dual type being grass-fairy and also plausibly being bug-normal is funny

I think it's because empathy is something a bunch of humans want to have and display and fairy types generally do that more than other pokemon

This is a crazy detailed quiz gaddamn
question 20
I'm unsure of what would be considered a party, if it's my birthday we are hanging out at my house, playing some board games and eating cake, and i would call that a party so i would say eather "they are coming becouse it's a special ocasion" or, "my parties allways rule" becouse if i did do something outside of a special occasion I don't feel the need to entice them to come, probably becouse it's something a lot more casual. question 18
I defend my belief even if they make a solid point that makes me think they are right, because people disagreeing with me make me feel personally attacked (even though I know that's stupid and not true).

For question 13, I'd personally write them a heartfelt message inside the card to make up for my lack of art supplies/skills.
I had the same thought. I'd feel AWFUL in this situation and would apologize profusely.
Heavily disagree with the first type picks, except for grass secondary. The second pic I think is a little more fitting. The speed and defense stats kind of disappoint me. Though my abilities I'd say are a good pick. I would definitely be one of the worst Pokemon out there, to my own disappointment.
Sooo, am I a fairy type or an ice type?? Either way the stats are so true and accurate lol
What about "You calmly and kindly ask why they think what they think" (for question 18)
This is objectively the funniest and most accurate result for me ever

Cool quiz! My only recommendation is for number 28, an option that says "I would never go on a date with a stranger"
Fun! Here's a couple answer suggestions, since you asked.
Q. 7: "Because I'm happy."
Q. 17: "A book for learning a new language."
Q. 36: "Cry."
Q. 43: "Sad. I didn't want to make them to feel bad."
This was incredibly well-made and is incredibly cool! Thank you so much!

Cant fully read some questions, didn't bother me until Question 40.

Questions 24 - No option for "I would not know this happened."

75s across the board... Huh
Fairy type with balanced stats... you're a mythical!!

Question 24 is misspelled. It says "relationsip" when it should say "relationship".
Cool... get it because it's ice... which is frozen water... ummm... yeah.
do you think theres any possibility to select multiple choices in the questions, if we feel like multiple are a tie/apply?
For the jar opening question, the answer "try with your teeth even though it definitely wont help" would be a good addition
